Agricultural Land Audit deprecation


What is happening?
  • Agricultural Land Audit (ALA) will be deprecated.
  • Agriculture will replace some of the layers in ALA. Others will be archived or available under other headings in Queensland Globe.
When?
  • 9th December 2024
Why?
  • Several of the layers in ALA haven't been updated since the Agriculture Land Audit in 2013. They are out of date and will not be maintained.
  • The new layers align with Australia's current datum – GDA2020.
  • Updating the schema with new and improved fields.
Who?
  • For all Queensland Globe users that have previously included layers under the Agricultural land audit in saved and shared maps.
  • Saved maps will be impacted and have to be updated. New layers can be found under Agriculture within the Farming category.
What's new?
  • Extra fields and more "user-friendly" names for fields.
  • More intuitive symbols.
  • New layers: Dairy production, Dairy processing, Egg production, Egg processing, Saleyard, Meat transport, Meat cold storage, Meat production and Meat processing.
What do you need to do
  • Open any saved maps, replace the deprecated layers with new layers and re-save your maps.
